Sponsorship nomination is based on the company’s ability to support its IMG and Australian employees. The employer must be lawfully operating a business that is actually and actively engaged in business activities.

DIAC will perform checks to ensure the sponsor has a clean track record of paying its staff, has a satisfactory record of complying with immigration laws, paying relevant income taxes and superannuation, training and overall support of its staff.

The Temporary Business 457 visa is currently the most commonly used visa option for medical practitioners and requires the additional step of not only nominating the position to be filled but also nominating the candidate in a separate process.

The application will require details of your dependants who will travel with you to Australia, for example your spouse and your children.
