Mental Health Matters- Mental Health Month this October

October 9, 2019

Did you know 1 in 5 Australians are affected by mental illness, yet many don’t seek help?

We can all do something to help shed a more positive light on mental health. October is Mental Health Month and Mental Health Week is also occurring (5th-11th October) with a focus on how we live, learn, work and play - realising it's a combination of factors which impact our mental wellbeing.

Could you or a love one be suffering from anxiety or depression?

Take the quiz below

This simple checklist aims to measure whether you may have been affected by depression and anxiety during the past four weeks. The higher your score, the more likely you are to be experiencing depression and/or anxiety.

If you are experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety like low mood, irritability, lack of motivation and low energy levels, it may be difficult to find the energy and motivation to make healthy food choices.
